Easy builder mode to HTML mode
Starting off, if you don’t know what easy builder or html modes are, here’s a quick explanation about both.Easy builder is what you start with when you create a site on freewebs.com. They have layouts you can pick from but edit in few ways. It’s easy to make pages and write stuff while in easy builder mode, but for more experienced html users easy builder is no good.
HTML mode is where you can do more things in html. You make and code your own layouts. You learn and use different codes to help you do things. (Check out Basic HTML for basic html codes) html is defiantly harder but its defiantly a good thing to learn if you’re a webmaster/webmistress. You can show off your skills in html mode because easy builder usually does everything (besides writing content and some other things) for you.
Now if you don’t already know how to switch to html mode, here’s a quick explanation for this simple process. First go to freewebs.com and login to your site. Once logged in click on the link that say account. Scroll down until you see switch to html mode. Click it. Be careful though. Once you switch to html mode you can’t switch back to easy builder mode(unless you pay)! It’s safe to know your HTML before you switch. When you switch, the exterior of you site will look the same, but the interior is different. Now when you go to edit a page, you’ll see the coding for that particular page instead of seeing the page and things like “click here to add content box”. Now you can make a new layout for your site and get a good start on your site, which is now in HTML! :D
