Gimp Scanlines

Here is a tutorial on how to get scanlines on an image you want. Ex. Click Here
1. First open gimp. Then go to new image and make it a transparent image 3x3pixels.
2. Zoom in a lot (so you could see where your placing the dots). Go to the small one pixel brush and go to pencil.
3. Depending on how you want your scanlines is where you draw. I'll show you a diagonal scanline. Ex. Click Here
4. Now that you have you picture save it as whatever.pat (change whatever to whatever you want to name it)
5. Open the picture you want to add the effect to. Next open the pattern tab
and select to pattern you just made.
6. Make a new layer over the other layer. Go to edit and down to Fill with Pattern.
7. Next to make the lines blend into the image make sure your in the layers tab. Select the layer you put the lines in and go to mode: Overlay.

And Your done! You can use this effect for many different things. ;3
