Being a Webmistress / Webmaster comes with a lot of responsibilities and sometimes stress. Here are some thing you should do if you want to be a good Webmistress/ Webmaster.

- Never let the power go to your head! This is very important! If you want staff and people to come to you site you must never let to power go to your head. People have fired their staff for stupid reasons like the staff member posted news, made a page, edited content, and stuff like that without their permission. If they deleted all you pages and stuff I could understand but really...

- Pace yourself. This is really important if you’re revamping your site or promising people a new page or something like that. If you rush you site when revamping usually it comes out not to good. And if you promise your visitors a brand new page on something like a new Pokémon game and you pace yourself, add correct stuff, read it over, and spell check and stuff you’ll make the page a good one. It sounds long but it’s better than having a page with a bunch of mistakes and it doesn’t make sense, it would all be a waste of time.

- Have the courage to say No! Some people when they get staff requests or affiliation requests the say yes even though the person didn’t read the rules and don’t match the requirements. Learn to say “Sorry go read the rules before you apply.”, “Please read the rules.”, or just plain “No.” This will help you and your site in the long run.

- Pick people you trust. When hiring staff you want the people you trust. Not the 45 year old hacker that lives in his mother’s basement. (Ok that was a little exaggerated XD) Really some people out there hack sites and news. Other are jealous people so when they become staff they delete all you pages or steal all you content. It’s not easy to pick the people you trust sometimes just hope you make the right decisions!
